Well, we are here. We got here Saturday morning and spent Saturday night and Sunday night in a hotel that Chuck had been staying at. Monday we moved to a "holiday cottage" which is a cottage at a sea resort. We are glad to have more room and a place to cook a meal as eating out is really expensive. Plus, none of us are digging the food out and about anyway. Soooo. That's kinda all I have. We drove around Sunday to the house we are renting (but not available until fingers crossed this Friday, but looking more like next week) and around our new neighborhood. There's a couple stores that remind me of a small ikea and a grocery store close so I can't complain.
Oh but I have been. I read that being an expat goes in stages: honeymoon, reality, homesickness, acceptance, and then a desire to never leave. I'm already to homesickness and not sure if I will ever hit the last one. But I know it's also only day 4 and over time I will adjust. Right now, 3 years feels like eternity, I'm scared to drive, scared to speak to anyone and all the sudden I don't feel like I even know how to order pizza. Why am I being ridiculous? I guess because I can.
Next entry will be more positive and the girls and I will have ventured out into society. Lord knows I get dressed every day like I'm going to and then I'm like "nope." Ha! Until next time.....
